We are ready! Everything you need to train someone from their first steps as a young child of 4 or 5 years old to an optimally trained ballet body at 15 or 16 is available online! Please use this knowledge and spread this training method. It keeps the body healthy and, when used responsibly, free from injuries. Enjoy the lessons as much as we enjoyed creating them. Thank you for all the kind reactions and messages. Liesbeth Wiertz and Paul Valk are available to teach ballet classes at your institution worldwide. July 7, 2023: After a wonderful year, we have decided to conclude the regular recordings of the Liesbeth Wiertz Ballet Institute. Thanks to Eva, Femke, Leah, Elke, Esmee, Fee-Lise, and other dancers, we were able to capture Liesbeth’s methodology so beautifully on camera.

In the past year, we have recorded a complete Teacher Methodology Classical Ballet, including all exercises, teacher tips & tricks for the Junior level. In 27 lessons, each lasting almost 2 hours, you will find all the information you need to teach and develop classical ballet classes on your own. Wishing you great success. Don’t hesitate to contact Liesbeth or Paul if you have any questions about the lessons or the website. Also, make sure to watch the special lesson on using a pianist during a ballet class and how to teach and utilize different time signatures to optimize the effect of your exercises and develop dance quality.

We have now started in Arnhem with new and familiar faces in teacher training on Thursdays from 10:00-11:30 and in the specialization modules of classical ballet for prospective teachers on Thursdays between 12:00-14:00. These are a logical continuation of all the online lessons from LBallet.

We are also still enjoying a wonderful week of teaching and recording in Linz, Austria, between September 4 and 11. We were able to give a total of 21 lessons to pre-training students and professional teachers from the Landes Musik Schulwerk and Tanz Akademie. To be continued because we are allowed to come back next year. It was amazing!

It will surely be a great year despite all the challenges in the world. We must continue to dance and develop. A world without culture and dance is not possible. It won’t be our fault.

Thanks to Rozet for the great start and collaboration.

July 2022: Monday, June 13, 2022: LWBI is moving from Nijmegen to Arnhem starting from September 1, 2022. We are very grateful to Daniëlle Tunnissen from Balletstudio Daniëlle for the past two years. Despite all the lockdowns and difficult circumstances, we have managed to write a piece of Dutch ballet history by capturing a complete classical ballet methodology through the use of 6 cameras, lighting, microphones, etc. We were able to transform Daniëlle’s ballet studio into a real recording studio! Thank you for all the cooperation. We wish Balletstudio Daniëlle success and hope to continue working together for a long time.

June 13, 2022: The Liesbeth Wiertz Ballet Institute is moving to the beautiful ballet studios of Rozet in Arnhem, where Balletstudio De Vloer is also located. Various collaborations are being explored, including one with ArtEZ. A ballet pianist training program is being developed, and a partnership has been established with Balletschool Petra in Roermond, where a talent class has already started. A teacher training will also be held there every Friday between 10:30-12:00.

June 1, 2022: The complete methodology of Liesbeth Wiertz, including pointe work, has been recorded in over 200 videos! The result is a unique document that not only captures the development of several dance students but also the atmosphere and interactions. Never before has a classical methodology been so extensively and transparently demonstrated for optimal body development in dance. All the lessons are in English, and there are already dozens of teachers and dancers around the world using this methodology. In the coming period, each lesson will be accompanied by newly recorded piano music by Paul Valk and Gerard Vogel.

Fortunately, we have permission from the government and the municipality of Nijmegen to continue training for the live streams and online productions of LBallet. Strict testing and control measures are in place for these professional cultural online productions. It is important to continue the recordings for LBallet for the benefit of students and consumers of LBallet’s online products.

Instagram and other socialmedia platforms will follow. UPDATE: Instagram [lballetinstitute] Check out previews and free lessons on YouTube.

September 4, 2020: Due to high interest in the Thursday morning teacher training, we may have to disappoint some people. We apologize in advance. Let’s hope that the COVID-19 situation will be resolved soon. Registration is mandatory, and you will be added to a WhatsApp group to ensure registration according to RIVM guidelines.

September 1, 2020: We have started with the first group of students/interns/dancers. It’s great to be able to dance again and produce lessons. They are available on L BALLET. June 9, 2020: The teacher subscription and institute subscription will probably be available by the end of August 2020. They will include corresponding lesson method notes for each class. May 28, 2020: The establishment of the new institute for LBallet recordings and a professional dance education program (the Liesbeth Wiertz Dance Institute) is a fact. It has been decided that all ballet lessons from August 31, 2020, onwards will be taught by Liesbeth in English! Liesbeth has started an English course. The teacher training on Thursdays will be conducted in Dutch and will not be recorded.

15 September 2022
